This project consisted of a complete transformation of a compact one-bedroom Islington flat, tailored for a first-time buyer. Our client, a professional DJ, required a home that felt vibrant and personal but carried a crucial condition: The design had to remain market-friendly so the property could eventually transition into a premium rental asset.

The heart of the redesign is a high-contrast, space-optimised kitchen that perfectly marries style with landlord-proof functionality. To maximise the flat’s natural light, a strict "two-tone" cabinetry system was introduced. Matt white handleless wall units blend seamlessly with the upper walls, drawing the eye upward and creating an airy, expansive feel. Below, deep navy-blue base cabinets ground the space, offering a sophisticated injection of the client's beloved colour palette while remaining universally appealing to future tenants.
